But through all of it, I saw the same thing over and over: brilliant people with big ideas struggling to share them in a way that made sense.
That’s when I decided to do things differently. I started Dakota Lane as a boutique agency with one mission: make strategy and content clear, approachable, and actually fun. These days, I get to turn jumbled ideas into messaging that works—and nothing makes me happier than seeing clients light up when their story clicks.
I’ve always been a little obsessed with communication—writing, designing, brainstorming ideas with friends. So it wasn’t a huge surprise that I ended up with a communications degree and a career in marketing. But what might surprise you is how many twists and turns it took to get here.
I worked in agencies, in-house teams, and alongside entrepreneurs, soaking up every part of marketing I could. Some jobs lit me up, others… not so much.
Before the agency, there was just a girl who asked a lot of questions.
